The Gift of Healing Herbs

i recently joined a small herbal medicine course (by hedge herbs) and i’ve been wanting to learn more about herbalism through a spiritual, decolonizing + queer lens, the book 'Magical Herbalism' by Scott Cunningham seemed a good chance to get more insight into the magical and spiritual properties of plants.
i’m finding it fun to explore the layers of meaning and history of plant. not having so much of a background in the topic it’s nice to think about how my spirituality binds to exploring my relationship with nature and possible ways to consider the importance of collective holistic care.

in learning more on the topic i now feel more confident with my ability to use herbs in a playful and empowering way.

to the right are three books i've been looking to this month to learn about the healing properties and uses of plants. i tasted mugwort for the first time this month and it had a big impact on my body... my mind cleared and i relaxed without conflict, sort of like feeling held instead of pushed towards it - so i've added a few extracts about mugwort.
